Awesome has no limits! For our school tour this year, 1st - 3rd classes, visited the new science museum Explorium in Sandyford. We challenged our minds, tested our agility and fed our curiosity with more than 300 eye-popping interactive Science and STEM experiences! Some girls made their own blockbuster film in Movieworld, tried to defy gravity in the amazing Gravity Rooms, tested their balance and climbing skills in the climbing zone and checked out a lightning demonstration in the theatre. Huge thanks to Ms. Reilly for organising, all the Explorium staff for making our trip so enjoyable and to the parents who helped us out on the day too.

Mrs Delany’s Fourth Class continue to be busy little bees in their own little hive of industry. Carla christened her little black jelly baby “Knitting Ninja”. I think that this is the perfect description for my class of “knittaholics”. Every time I turn around the needles are out!

This term has seen many more wonderful creations coming off the needles; Síofra’s ballerina, Erin’s tooth fairy, Carla’s seagull, Maeve’s bell boy, Lucy’s Communion Boy and Abi’s Superkid. Make sure to keep an eye out for the frogs, elephant, kittens, brides and grooms, topsy-turvy dolls and many more delights that are yet to come. The girls have really become very skilled knitters and and I am so proud of them.

Congratualtions to the Senior GAA team who made it to the final last Thursday is Abbostown. Although very narrowly beaten you played brilliantly and we're very proud of you for representing St. Brigid's so well! Huge thank you to Ms Reilly, Ms Walshe and Noel for all their dedication and hard work!

The girls from Fourth Class had a wonderful morning on Friday last in St. Mary’s Secondary School. It was the culmination of the Paired Reading Programme with the Transition Year students. Every Friday morning, for the past five weeks, the TY students have visited Rooms 9 and 10 to read various novels with the girls. The girls were presented with their certificates and then were well and truly entertained with fun activities followed by a delicious treat in the school canteen. A huge big thank you to all involved. We look forward to taking part, once again, next year.
