Ms. Concannon’s and Mrs Delany’s Fourth Classes have been truly inspired by the work of artist Georgia O’Keeffe (1887-1986). Georgia’s most famous paintings were large scale impressions of flowers and plants. The most striking feature of these paintings was the size of the flower and the vivid colours. We think the girls have well and truly captured the essence of Georgia’s work in their own creations.

Ms. Flynn's 3rd class wrote a lovely poem entitled "My Special Friend" for Friendship Week last week. There were lots of friendship activities happening around the school like Buddy Reading, making friendship bracelets, writing nice comments to each other on our Kindness Wall, doing friendship art and much more! We are all great friends in St. Brigid's!

Ms Delany's class received a lovely letter from St Francis Hospice thanking her class for the Easter chicks they knitted. Well done girls, lovely deed.

2 students in Ms O'Donovan's class recieved correspondance from our Taoiseach following their letter highlighting how candidate posters are bad for our environment! Well done girls!

On Wednesday the 8th of May Ms. Concannon's 4th class girls went to Classa as part of Fleadh Áth Cliath 2019. The girls had been very busy practicing their tin whistle for their big performance. St. Brigid's GNS were one of seven local schools partaking in the schools outreach programme. It was a huge success and an enjoyable day for all involved.
